CVR Crusaders - Start the Season
This is the team of mentally challenged guys that my son, Jimmy, is coaching. Travis Johnson, Jimmy's good friend and the author of this video, is also coaching and said that the players "adore" Jimmy and that he's great with them.
The team is co-sponsored by the Jay Dooley Memorial Foundation, which was founded by my brother, Jerry. The foundation exists to help kids with challenges. These players aren't exactly kids, but the JDMF is certainly sponsoring a worthy cause. The players aren't high school, college or NBA players, but I think they're having a better time and more fun.
The Crusaders won their first game, 60-5. All games are played at Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ.
